Ice Hands
We had two lovely ice hands. We wrapped one up (Hand A) in newspaper and put a hat an scarf on it. We left the other hand (B) uncovered. We wanted to find out which hand would melt first?
Hand B (the one we left uncovered) melted first.
Hand A stayed frozen because the newspaper, hat and scarf kept the cold in it and it didn’t melt. The hand was insulated.
We now know why we must wear our coat going outside. We must keep ourselves insulated so we wear our cost to keep the heat in us! Likewise we wear a hat, scarves and gloves in winter to keep us nice and warm on a cold day!
